Humanitarian aid to Venezuelan refugees

The current crisis in Venezuela has had severe impacts on Latin America and affected the world at large.  This year alone the country could experience 10,000,000% inflation while unemployment has reached almost half the population.  The current inflation is such that those lucky enough to have a salary could see it become practically valueless in a week.  In addition, the UN has cited numerous human rights violations occurring in Venezuela: political prisoners, tortured dissidents, widespread crime without any justice and humanitarian crimes.  As a result, almost 5 million people have fled this nation of ~32 million, often walking hundreds or thousands of kilometers with families and the belongings they can carry to seek a new life.


For every $10 donated you will be able to provide enough supplies suitable for a family of four including food, medicine, and hygiene supplies, as well as additional items needed for mothers and their young children.  One hundred percent of the money that we receive through this campaign goes directly to humanitarian aid.  This is in addition to the aid we provide through our art projects.


Art For Impact has made four previous trips delivering aid along the border.  We coordinated with local aid agencies and were on the ground delivering aid, nourishment, and helping to address individual issues as able.  On our last trip we delivered more than 120 humanitarian packages plus diapers, food, and water while traveling the same routes that thousands of Venezuelans follow each week, stopping to meet and understand the people we met.  We have provided individual support where able, such as transferring a child for medical treatment only available in a far off city or assisting with rent for families that needed shelter.

Art For Impact is a platform to empower artists and activists, as well as impact change. We believe that there is untold power in art.  We are an art collective that brings attention to causes not getting the international support we believe they deserve. It is our mission to help empower artists with tools that will help them amplify their message, improve their art, and find funding.  Beyond that, Art For Impact actively works to enact change on the crises we cover, such as in Venezuela.  We purchase crafts and materials for our art pieces from both refugees and Venezuelans still in their country.  We supply aid packages directly to those who need it most with as little overhead as possible.  For more information visit artforimpact.org
