Vehicle is a total loss

It’s Christmas Eve, the roads are shining with the sparkle of rain. My car takes a turn, the back end slides, the front end smashes into a barrier, the side is destroyed.
I speak with insurance, they deem based on the mileage and year, with the damaged described, it’ll be a total loss.
Im at 8895 remaining on my vehicle balance. Insurance might only cover half. I have no transportation anywhere.
6000 is a lot. I know, but I need to put a down payment on a vehicle, and to pay off the rest of this underwater car loan that I managed to position myself into. All funds will be documented on where they will be going to, with the majority going to pay off the remaining balance before I find a new vehicle.
