What is a Cat Haven: This is a new concept that combines a traditional coffee shop with a rescue cat interaction center. A place where you can enjoy a tasty drink while in the company of fantastic felines with the option to adopt.
What we will do!
We believe that a community thrives when it takes care of each other. That includes its human and animal residents. To contribute to this idea, VegaBoo Cat Haven will provide another opportunity for Regina’s shelter kitties to find their furrrever loving family! Vegaboo Cat Haven’s mission is to create to a tranquil, peaceful escape, from your everyday stress; a safe haven where cats and humans come together to enjoy each other’s company. Alongside our comfortable space and welcoming attitudes, we will be offering a variety of events so that everyone can enjoy the space!
Keeping with our theme of compassion, we will only be offering treats and drinks created with animal well-being in mind, while focusing on creating the smallest environmental footprint possible.
Why does Regina Need a Cat Haven?
The world is busy and we have stressful lives. Many of us barely have enough time to catch up with friends and family, never mind look after a pet. Or perhaps your housing space does not allow pets. Today lifestyles can cause us to work long tireless hours and even when we aren’t at work we continue to stare at screens. The computer screen, TV screen, or cell phone screen to click a few ‘like’ buttons on social media platforms just to let all our ‘friends’ know we still exist. And then we wonder what is wrong with us. We wonder why we don’t feel happy, why we don’t feel fulfilled.
Cats on the other hand combat stress. They beat us in day to day living. When it comes to living in the moment and being present, cats win. Cats offer a form of therapy. Stroking a cat is proven to reduce your heart rate and blood pressure. Cats are good for us. Dare I say it, cats can make us happy.
