Recovery Fund for Dan and Shiila
Dan and Shiila's home was under 6' of water as a result of flooding during the storm of May 23, 2015. They have lost most of their belongings as well as their business computer.
Let's be as generous to them as they are with us in helping them rebuild.
Things are settling down some. We are staying in Austin until mid-July at a friend's condo. Very nice. Then we return to Wimberley to stay at another friend's home until Oct 1st. Then who knows?
Blessings every day. The love and generosity of friends, family and community is pulling us through. We both feel very resilient.
What we are seeing is that Spirit has given us a course correction, and we are now on a different trajectory than we were before. Amazing opportunities and possibilities are showing up in the field that would not be showing up on our previous path. Because we have the spaciousness of having a place to live for a while, and the funds to relax into this transition time, we can open to the magic and synchronicities that are presenting themselves. For this, we are very grateful!
Your donation and the generosity of the community is not only helping us buy "things" but changing our lives in a profound way. We are looking at our choices carefully, opening to the possibilities, and embracing the magic of these new beginnings.
We will keep you posted as our new beginnings become more clear.
Much love to you,
Shiila and Dan
Here are some photos to give you an idea of the Before and After at the riverbank below our house. Grandmother Cypress stands tall (YAY!), and saved many other trees. Here you see her supporting those that fell. May we open to the biggest picture and the larger Love at work here.
THANK YOU everybody! We are blown away by your generosity! Our dear friends are taking good care of us, and we are in the process of washing muddy clothes, and seeing what's salvageable among the wreckage. It's surreal. And it keeps on raining. Your donations will help us get back on our feet! Cell phones and computer are first focus. Taking it 1 day at a time. Car shopping will be on the list soon. Too many things to get overwhelmed by. Much better to focus on the gratitude we feel for all of you, and all of the help and support we feel. It's a new beginning for sure...
