Brenton Arndt's Medical Fund
I cannot believe it has taken this long for me to reach out to all of you to thank you for your prayers, support, and an endless amount of kindness. All I can say is, when the going got tough, it was easiest to put my head down and fight first, but I want to thank you all very much now. When I was first diagnosed, and I finally had an answer for what all these bumps crowding my neck and chest were, I was hit with a wave of uncertainty. The uncertainty slowly cleared as the combination of cancer and chemo began to eat away muscle, tear away hair, take feeling out of my feet, keep my up at night (whenever was most convenient for the drugs), that I realized how difficult this was going to be and how long it would truly take to recover.
I can proudly say I completed my last round of chemo on June 28, 2017. I am scheduled for a PET scan on the 18th of July, and an immediate follow up appointment with my oncologist on the 19th of July, to hopefully hear there is, “No evidence of disease”. Pending positive results from my PET, I will be starting radiation at the beginning of August and hopefully finish the zapping within 2-3 weeks.
Thank you to every single person who contributed to this fund, shared a prayer, wrote a kind word, kept me and my family in their thoughts, and went on this horrible journey with me. I am encouraged with how I am feeling, and I am looking forward to being able to share good news with everyone on the 19th of July.
If anyone has any questions, thoughts, or need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a message.
Warm regards and god bless,
