Kidney Transplant for Rebecca

Rebecca Namwanje is a Ugandan female aged 32 years, It was in April last year (2017) that Dr Sekasanvu (Ugandan Nephrologists consultant), diagnosed Rebecca with lupus nephritis. Lupus nephritis causes inflammation (swelling or scarring) of the small blood vessels that filter wastes in the kidney (glomeruli) and sometimes the kidneys, by attacking them like they would attack a disease.

Because of the relapsing nature of the disease, Rebecca has been in and out of the hospital almost every month. However, it was on the January 14,2018 that Rebecca was fully diagnosed with end stage Chronic Kidney Disease V and initiated on hemodialysis on the January 19, 2018. She is therefore on hemodialysis, which is now done thrice a week..

This is not sustainable in the long run, so the nephrologist advised us to organise for a kidney transplant for Rebecca full recovery.

It is upon this background that I request all well-wishers, relatives, and friends to join in saving Rebecca’s life. Rebecca will need to travel to India for the Transplant which will $30,000 The truth, she is just unlucky to be diagnosed with this condition whose cause is scientifically unknown! Thank you
