R.I.P. Mearl

Mearl Elizabeth Winberg was born April 18th 1988. She was an amazing person. She always made everyone around her in a good mood just by her presence. She worked at the office here in Fernley and all of her customers and co-workers just loved her and appreciated her hard work. She met her boyfriend Derek Huntley 4 years ago and created a bond between his son Jare. She was a GREAT mommy to him. So close she was about to legally adopt him.

On May 23, 2015 early in the morning tragedy struck our family. A cop came and told us Mearl was involved in a head on collision with a driver going the opposite direction on I80 and had passed away and that’s all he knew so I did a little investigation and found out that it was a drunk driver that DID NOT have his headlights on and Derek was driving because my sister had been drinking and smashed into them. Mearl was pronounced dead at the scene and Derek is in I.C.U. capable of opening his eyes and being able to hear us but his body got super banged up from the impact.

The Winberg family is asking for anyone to be able to donate even a little to help with the funding of giving Mearl a nice funeral. It is most definitely what she deserves. And if you cant donate we appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.
