18 FORE Life Par 3 Skramble

People have been inquiring where they can go to donate for the 18 FORE Life Par 3 Skramble to benefit Central Pennsylvanians battling with cancer. I have decided that a Go Fund Me account is convenient for everyone so here we go!
If you weren’t already aware, we are organizing a Par 3 tournament that is happening at Beaver Bend Golf Course in Hummelstown, PA on April 23rd. If you are not familiar with golf, a Par 3 course can be played by people of all ages and only requires 2 clubs. A Par 3 golf course is a bit larger than a mini golf course but is much smaller than a traditional golf course. Many people call it Pitch & Putt. It’s really fun for the whole family which is why we chose to have the tournament here.
The charity that we are supporting is 18 FORE Life. Their mission is to bring as many people together as possible to play golf and celebrate the gift of life by helping others in need, raising as much money as possible. All of the money that is raised for this tournament will be directly going to individuals and families in Central Pennsylvania that are currently affected by the financial burden that comes with the horrible disease of cancer. Each year, this sister event will have one main beneficiary as well as several other recipients of monetary donations to assist with their care. This year’s primary recipient is Wendy Wolpert. Wendy is a first grade teacher in the Big Springs School District.
In February 2015, Wendy was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 37. Wendy faced a long list of challenges concerning her treatment and the way her body reacted. After a double mastectomy, chemo, radiation and several surgeries, she can officially call herself a survivor but there is still a long road ahead. We were very proud to be able to support Wendy through her journey but as we all know, it doesn’t end with the last treatment. Wendy will have a lifetime of financial hardships because of cancer. Whether it is the medications, the surgeries or the physical therapy that she needs in order to keep this horrible disease at bay, she still needs our help and so do so many other people in our area.
This is why we need you. As we all know, no one struggles alone. Please help us help others. We will be giving this money directly to Wendy and others in Central Pennsylvania that are affected by this horrible disease.
