Olivers Fight

Donation protected
As many now know Oliver was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of Leukaemia, Acute Undifferentiated Leukaemia in July 2018.

Oliver has been so strong battling this illness over the past 5 months, his journey included multiple rounds of intensive Chemotherapy, steroid treatment,  countless blood transfusions, extreme pain management, endless bouts of illnesses resulting in hospitalisation and isolation for weeks on end, numerous invasive tests, central lines, feeding tubes - the list goes on.
Its not been for naught though, Ollie has responded really well to his treatment and is now in remission (the leukaemia is currently not found in his blood), however the journey isn't over yet.
Ollie still needs a stem cell transplant, this being  a critical part in his overall treatment and also the most difficult one yet.
Ollie will need to go to hospital on the 5th December for his transplant conditioning treatment, this involves intensive  chemotherapy and radiation to prepare his body. This is a high risk treatment and Oliver will need to be in hospital isolation for a minimum of 6 weeks while his body works on receiving the transplant, which can have many side effects, from the transplant and also the medication management, it’s going to be a tough time for Oliver and his family, especially through the festive season.

When Ollie is well enough he will be able to go home again however he will be in isolation as his body starts rebuilding an immune system from scratch.

With only a very small number of people being able to be with Oliver through this stage of treatment that is going to last well into next year. Its time that both Bec and Leo take a small step back from working without worrying about the financial burdens of life pressing on them. They need to focus on being with Oliver and supporting each other.
They've done so well to get where the are to date and their endless juggle to be with Ollie through the treatment is a testament to all of their resilience.

If we can help get them through the next few months so their focus can be solely on Oliver, I know they would be forever grateful.

If you would like further suggestions on other ways you may also help, please go and donate blood.
Blood donations are at a critical low, these donations have helped and will continue to help Oliver and people like Oliver on a daily basis. That small amount of time out of your day to donate will help save a life.

On behalf of Oliver and his family thank you for your support.

So  far we  have  raised  $6620, we  had  to  reset  the  page  to reduce  fees  that  Go  Fund Charge  due  to their new platform structure.  We have requested the site to get the donations and messages back on the page however currently waiting on this to happen.
The funds raised already have been received and given to the family, we ensured this happened before resetting the page. We do have names of those who donated so far and thank you so much for all the support you have given.
