Science teacher cancer fight

Our mom, Valerie Willmore has been a high school science teacher for 27 years and was a volleyball coach for 15 of those years. But things changed drastically when on December 18, 2014 she was diagnosed with IIIC ovarian cancer. December 24, 2014 she had surgery that included a total abdominal hysterectomy, removal of the omentum, appendix, pelvic tissue and 2 lymph nodes as well as debulking. In January she began a 15 week chemotherapy regimen to get rid of the remaining cancerous tissue in the abdomen. 

During all this she has shown what a strong woman she is and continues to fight the fight and prove our family motto of “Where there’s a Willmore, there’s a Way!”  Her school has shown their love and support with tshirts, cards, videos and Willmore Wednesdays.  While she was recovering from surgery, her fabulous coworkers created their own meal delivery support system.

Last November our dad was is the hospital for diverticulitis and from tests during his stay, they noticed a growth & 2 spots on one of his kidneys.  Recently, they rechecked and determined that it is cancer.  After mom’s finished with treatment they’ll decide if they will try and remove the growth or remove the kidney.

So, this GoFundMe page is being created for financial assistance to help relieve the stress of the quickly growing medical bills for both our parents.
