Hi everyone, welcome to this GoFundMe page, in loving memory of Miss Elizabeth Huck, the strongest, most determined woman I had the pleasure of calling my friend. This page's purpose is to raise as much money as possible for the Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Charity - a charity dear to our hearts.
Elizabeth/Lizzie/Libby's enthusiasm to educate inspired many people, as she redefined what it is like to be living with Cystic Fibrosis. Despite her constant uphill battle with the disease, she continued to have a positive outlook and defied all odds. She spent a long length of time in Papworth Hospital whilst she awaited a double lung transplant, however consistently remained positive and in May 2016, she received her double lung transplant and this gave her a new lease of life. She completed the Southampton 10K raising £4000 for Papworth Hospital, spent 6 months in Madrid on Erasmus, spoke at Cambridge University Science Festival, tirelessly promoted organ donation and graduated from the University of Southampton, contributing vital findings to the under-researched field of post-transplant psychology. Unfortunately we lost her in September 2018 to complications of Cystic Fibrosis.
Her enthusiasm for life is a true inspiration, so, if you want to join me in making a difference and carrying on Libby's legacy, I'm raising money for Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Charity, and any donation will help make an impact. We have built this team to carrying on Libby's legacy & generosity, and have a number of events planned within the next year including Tough Mudder, Birmingham Half, Birmingham 10K and many others.

With increasing pressures on NHS resources, the charity plays a vital role in ensuring the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care, whilst also ensuring the development of new ways of treating heart and lung disease.
