For 51 years the metropolitan knothole league has served to children free of charge. They make their money through annual carwashes 50-50 and finally the snack bar. Unfortunately The other day the deep fryer caught fire causing the sprinkler system to ignite.
The sprinkler system itself was 26 years old. It is now no longer working and an estimated cost of $3000 to replace it. Without the snack bar the field doesn’t run. This is where most of the money for the field comes in. Every cent made in the snack bar goes to uniforms hats equipment score cards the end-of-the-year picnic the trophies and the food for the children. The whole field all the staff the coaches, Umpires and even the snack bar staff are all volunteers. We’re asking for help to give back to this organization that has given so much to the children of this community for over 51 years. Without the kitchen the field won’t be able to run, this is where most of the funding comes from. Any little bit helps thank you in advance and God bless you.
