Medical Missons Trip to Nicaragua

Proud to be the children of two hard working West Virginia Mountaineers, we've been raised with the same values they were taught growing up. Working hard for everything that they've earned, its time to begin our own journeys. Coming from an environment in which things weren't just handed, we believe the Good Lord is calling us to travel down to to Central America and provide preventative healthcare in Nicaragua. WVU is offering an opportunity with a group called Global Brigades and in more ways than one, this group keeps making appearances in our lives. We feel it is time we take the initiative and make a difference to those who need our time and energy best. Growing up with the push of two parents to create two independent women, our parents have instilled in us a drive and motivation to pay for college predominantly on our own and for that we are eternally thankful. Although we are so ecstatic for our upcoming trip to Nicaragua, the finances are hefty. The total cost for both of us to attend is $4,000. Although we both feel very uncomfortable asking in the first place, we are very humbled for the opportunity. If anyone does find it in their heart to donate, we would be endlessly thankful. This is just the start to two beautiful careers in the healthcare field in which we hope to heal and cure others in the future. As though it seems the money is purely funding us, we feel that the donations are truly going towards the Nicaraguans who need the help most.
