I am not sure I know exactly what I am doing but it feels right, it feels necessary. Let me give you some back story. I found out about this site from a co-worker/friend when I mentioned that I wanted to make a wish come true for my amazing friend on her birthday this year. It’s a sort of birthday wish, it’s a sort of a celebration of life wish, and a celebration of all things beautiful wish.
Have you ever met someone who made you realize that the world is a good place, that you should do everything that you really want to, that every moment is a gift, and who reminds you to live with gusto and take pleasure in the simplest of things? That’s Erin, who many of you already know. Beautiful, kind, gorgeous, and quirky Erin. Erin’s birthday is coming, July 13th,in fact. Without believing it could happen, she said to me the other day that she really would love to travel to Hawaii. She would love to go to Hawaii and she would love it if her boyfriend, Aron, and I could help make that happen for her, and soon.
As many of you know, Erin is one of the most incredible humans ever, on the outside and inside. She also has a nasty cancer (leiomyocarcoma) that simply isn’t going to let her hang out as long as she should. It would be amazing to see Erin smile on the shores of Hawaii with a flower in her hair, watch her cry while eating Hawaiian food, and surround her with sexy fire dancers, that would mean the world. I want to make this trip happen for her, as soon as possible, and around her birthday if I can.
I don’t know if I can hit the mark of raising funds to afford Erin this dream trip in such a short time frame. I don’t know if enough people will contribute to making this wish come true in time for the trip to happen so soon, but I am going to try regardless. Anything will help. Funds to cover Erin’s airfare, hotel, some spending money, and food expenses would be amazing. Even tips on traveling for as little money as possible to Hawaii (good deals, places to stay, ins and out of Hawaii travel) would be most welcome. I’ve never been there, and need some help from each of you to make this dream a reality for Erin.
