Soo, as some of you may know, not so long ago I acquired a lovely knee injury. Something I don't recommend. I zigged, my knee zagged. It didn't go well.
I ended up in the ER and have been unable to work ever since. This has caused a bit of an issue with the landlord as they seem to like getting the rent. I have applied for assistance through the appropriate channels but that hasn't come through ((No notification yet on if it will be coming through or not either)) and it's now a new month. I will eventually be able to go back to work, but need clearance from a doctor before I can. My goal is to be up and around in the next two to three weeks.
I currently don't have insurance (like most of America) and I need an MRI of my knee in order to see what the extent of the damage is. I'm calling around and seeing if I can find a hospital or other company that will work with me on the cost or let me make payments, but haven't found anyplace yet. (I haven't given up hope!)
I hate hate hate asking for help, as many of you are aware. It's not a matter of pride really, it's a matter of my anxiety and depression telling me that I'm a burden, an imposition, and that people don't really want me around, they just kind of put up with me and are being polite.
I had hoped that the assistance would have come through by now and I wouldn't have to ask for help but with the onset of the new month I now officially owe two months rent, not to mention being a bit behind on bills. My GF has been helping with as much as she can but I'm the main income so things have been falling more and more behind. I'm expecting an official letter from the landlord soon as well as a bill from the ER and so, as much as I hate doing it, I need your help.
If you can help, any help is appreciated. If you can't help, then maybe share this for me?
