US Folk School Conference Fund
Donation protected
US Folk Schools, now in nearly every state, contribute to the landscape of non-formal adult education. These schools vary in mission and approach although, two things are clear. New schools are appearing with increasing regularity and whether focused on traditional arts, popular or civic education, they enrich and transform communities.
Dawn Murphy (Marie Fielder Fellow), Stacey Waterman-Hoey (Arbutus Folk School), and Vicky Eiben (Driftless Folk School) want to bring the stories of two folks schools and their impact on their communities to the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education's (AAACE's) 2017 National Conference.
Your contribution will support Dawn, Stacey, and Vicky in their travel to Memphis, TN and lodging expenses (estimated at $825 each). We have raised $500 dollars so far and need another $2,000. Please help us bring US Folk School efforts to a national audience. We must submit our final payment for participation in the conference by September 15th so please donate by September 14th.
Thank you!
