Don’t Be Chick’n (vegan restaurant)
Compassion Meals is a black woman owned vegan soul food pop up that was founded in 2018 by Nkoyo Adakama; based out of Sacramento California as a vegan meal delivery service that quickly took off into what it is now! Through my cruelty- free delicious innovative plant-based food- I’m most famous for my vegan fried chick’n buckets, platters, milkshakes and fried chick’n sandwiches! I am able to help promote how delicious a plant-based diet can be without sacrificing the flavors so many of us know and love of the SAD thus changing thousands of people’s minds and help make the world a more compassionate place one meal at a time. I create meals that are comforting without the guilt and let people know that veganism isn’t just “greens.”
We have outgrown pop-ups and are ready to bring a permanent brick and mortar location to downtown Sacramento California;A stepping stone for the Black community, we want to bring a fresh new concept to vegan cooking and need your help to bring this dream to life. With this GoFundMe, we will utilize our resources for our community such as catering youth events, feeding the homeless, and bringing plant-based options to ALL.
We will continue to bring a variety of fresh innovative vegan recipes to become an experience for everyone and connect the Sacramento community and beyond with one compassionate meal at a time.
We’re so grateful and appreciative of you all and hope you find this cause worthy of donating to; cheers to us getting our first brick and mortar.
