Urgent Medical Care Costs
Donation protected
Welcome to America where a mother of four small children needs to use a crowdsourcing websites to pay for medical care so she doesn't end up completely blind or dead.
Having turned 30 this year, I finally decided I should get an eye exam . I had been dealing with headaches daily for several months and now the last 2-3 months my eye has been twitching and having blurry vision. Assuming it was eye strain from excessive computer use while going back to school (yes I'm also a full-time college student), come to find out it I have a condition called papilledema, or high CSF fluid pressure. Left untreated can lead to blindness or even death.
I've been seeing a neuro ophthalmologist in Dallas which is almost 2 hours away. I've needed an MRI and now I need a lumbar puncture to release some of the pressure on my brain and to also test to see what could be causing the excessive amount a fluid behind my eyes. Well I do have pretty great insurance through my husband's work but we're also a paycheck to paycheck family and meeting that deductible on a single income feels pretty impossible right about now.
So here I am asking my wonderful family and friends if you will help with some of my medical cost. Once I reach my deductible of $3000, which it looks like will be pretty easy to do, my insurance should cover nearly 100% after that.
Thank you for taking the time read my story.
Blessings to you all ♥️
