Urgent help for Dima's family

His wife and 3 year-old son were on the beach waiting for him.

Dima drowned in Portugal on Monday morning. His wife and son are still there, waiting for authorities to release his body. Unfortunately, the circumstances are such that Dima has lived in the UK with his family on a visa, that is now no longer valid for Maryana, Dima's wife, and their little one. They are going to be deported if no help is saught from immigration lawyers.

Their home was here in the UK, their work and friends were here, their whole life was here. They were going to settle in the UK. It was Dima's dream to help his family have a better future in this country.

Maryana urgently needs funds to access legal help from immigration lawyers before she returns to the UK, as she may be refused entry at the border. Both her and her son also need financial support to get through the application proccess and associated fees when fighting a case with the Home Office to let them stay in the UK. These costs will likely amount to over £15,000 in the best case scenario.

Dima was a close family friend of mine and I am in direct contact with his wife. I will personally transfer the proceeds from this campaign to her so she is able to settle the initial legal fees in the next few weeks.
