Krishna Reed Financial Assistance

Last winter my sister was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She began chemo immediately only for her body to reject it during her second cycle of chemo. During the summer if 2015 she developed neuropathy and began to have other health issue associated with chemo treatments and cancer. By the Fall of 2015 Krishna advised doctors that she wanted to move forward with a mascetomy. During testing to prepare for the mascetomy the doctors found that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. The doctors removed all the cancerous lymph nodes and all performed a double mascetomy.
After a few weeks of healing Krishna began her first round of radiation. During radiation treatment Krishna suffered a set back due to the radiation burning her skin. She then began to experience lots of pain and stiffness in her back. Her cancer had progressed to Stage 3.

After all of this, a little over a year has passed and the news is not good. On Friday February 19th, Krishna had a doctors appointment and was given the devastating news that the cancer has spread to her lungs and spine and she was given 2 weeks-2 months to live. Hospice was immediately set up for her but we are not giving up hope that things can and will turn around.

There are no words to describe the strength and courage my sister has displayed through all that she has endured.

It is our families hope that we can make what just may be her last few weeks or months of life very comfortable for her.

My sister has one son, Naquan, and goddaughter Brieshahe they have done their very best through this all to care for their mother. They will need our support financially and emotionally.
