Universal Womb Full Production

Dear Friend and Supporter of the Arts,

We are so excited about the next steps in producing the full production of Universal Womb.  After nearly three years in the writing stage we planted the seed with our official launch on January 28th, 2017 featuring an excerpt of the show complete with set + sound design, wardrobe, an original music vocal set, movement and two actresses. We are very focused on bringing this work to a space in our community.


Universal Womb is a musical drama taking in place in nine "Womb" states.  It's the story of one woman from the age of 12 to 60 and her afterlife. The story is played by six actresses all from and living in the Hartford Area. This inspiring production based on a true story dives deep into many aspects of being Black, a Woman, a Daughter, a Mother, a Politician and finally a drug addict.  Our next steps involve finding creative resourceful ways of funding this project to pay local artists, Including movement artists, actresses, set/lighting designers as well as securing chosen venue.


Now we need your help! TNMOT AZTRO PERFORMANCE ART AND DANCE INSTALLATION LLC, is taking the initiative to be the producing agency for this work. Tnmot Aztro has applied for the project grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts. In its preliminary form it's a matching grant for which we must raise $7,500 in order to qualify for up to $15,000 for this community based art project. Today marks the start of our fundraising campaign and we're asking for your financial support. Your financial gift will allow us to solidify this beautiful venue for the full production, qualify for the 2017 Connecticut Office of the Arts Project Grant (which will ensure our team financial stability), pay the entire cast, crew and creative team along with the technical/lighting team and cover all administrative costs.

Each artistic collaborator brings forth their personal skill sets and areas of expertise.
