Unicycling World Championship

Le Woom est une association sportive, créée à la fin du siècle dernier, par une poignée de passionnés de monocycle, qui permet la pratique dans la région Lyonnaise du monobasket.

Forte de 2 entraînements par semaine à l'école Mère Theresa de Villeurbanne, l'équipe a su améliorer son jeu pour monter sur la plus haute  marche du podium dans la plupart des compétitions françaises et internationales ces 10 dernières années.

Championne de France 11 années consécutives, l'équipe du WOOM est également championne du monde depuis son voyage en Nouvelle-Zélande en 2010.
En Juillet 2012, elle s'impose à de nouveau lors des championnats du monde en Italie et renouvelle la performance lors des Unicon 17 à Montréal en 2014, puis à San Sebastian dans le Pays Basque en 2016.

Les prochains championnats du monde auront lieu fin juillet prochain en Corée du Sud. C’est pourquoi le Woom fait aujourd’hui appel à vous pour nous aider à financer une partie du voyage pour représenter la France et défendre son titre.

Woom is a sport organization, created in the end of the last century by some enthusiastic fan  unicyclist. It supports the  practice of  unicycle-basketball in Villeurbanne (France).

Two trainings every week at Mother Teresa School in Villeurbanne (near Lyon) have enabled  the team to improve their skills and become one of the best team in French and International championships.

French Champions for  11 straigh years,  the Woom  have also won the  World championships in  New-Zealand in 2010, Italy in 2012, Canada in 2014 and Spain in 2016.

The upcoming Unicycle World Championships are going to take place  in South Korea next July. That's  why  the Woom needs your support to help the members of the team to finance a part of the trip, they are going to undertake  to  represent France and defend their  title.
