Go away, Elsa, you froze D

On March 3, 2017, our now 13 year old had a large brain stem stroke, with resulting locked in syndrome. His prognosis did not look good at first but he is making so many strides. He's working at gaining more trunk and head control. His right side is doing so well, he waves that arm around all day long, and can use his hand for most anything. His left arm isn't near as strong but he has recently been able to lift it up off the bed. On march 28th, he got both a trach and a g tube which are working really well. In April, we were moved to inpatient rehab in Dallas where we spent 6 weeks in rehab. We've been home since May 25th and while we have had ups and downs, and a handful of ER visits, he is overall stable and full of sass.
As we m come to terms with having a new normal for our family, one thing is clear...we can't do this alone. It has been a struggle since one of us mamas wasnt able to work from March til the end of July, taking care of D. This is obviously a pretty significant expense that we aren't exactly prepared for. Our biggest need right now is a wheelchair lift in our van. We bought a van but have not been able to have money to finish accommodations to it. Any donation will be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
