Underprivileged BJJ kids need you!

Tax deductible

Live Jiu-Jitsu (501 (c) (3) aims to inspire positive change in the lives of impoverished communities through the study and implementation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Through the use of this “gentle art,” we support Social Projects in Brazil and the United States through financial support and donations, we create hope, ultimately creating champions not only in competition, but champions in life, and YOU can be help this process.

Our Goal:

We wish to minimize the barriers that hinder children and young adults from beginning their life long journey of Jiu-Jitsu. This is accomplished by providing support to both individuals and organizations so that they may prosper.

Our Funding:

A majority of our contributions come from the private donations of Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and our merchandise sales. 100% of the profit from Live Jiu-Jitsu and The BJJ Mental Coach® Patches & T-Shirts' go to our organization. Professional athletes like Jose Aldo (Former UFC featherweight Champion), Marcio Andre (BJJ World Champion) have donated their MMA & BJJ memorabilia to sell on eBay’s Giving Works, helping Live Jiu-Jitsu to buy new gi’s, new mats and to pay for registration fees of these underprivileged athletes.

Why sponsor tournament registration fees?
If you have competed before in any sport you understand how competition is an amazing personal development tool, and is not different in jiu-jitsu. These kids and young athletes get to learn how to deal with wins and losses, how to handle their emotions in under pressured situations, and the experience of visiting new cities, states and even countries is priceless! The experience can open their eyes to different realities and the World is a lot bigger than the reality that they live in, which inspire them to want more in life.

Next challenge:
Live Jiu-Jitsu sponsored around 30 athletes from four different projects to compete at the 2018 IBJJF/CBJJ Brazilian Nationals on April 28th & 29th. Now our next challenge is to sponsor 100 kids, from 10 different social projects, to compete at the 2018 IBJJF/CBJJ South American Championship in Rio de janeiro, Brazil on July 21st and you can help them to experience this event. http://cbjj.com.br/campeonatos/sul-americano-de-jiu-jitsu-criancas/

You can help us to raise around $4500 that will be enough to pay for their registration and the CBJJ ID's. You can donate until June 16th 2018. Anything over our financial goal will be used towards future projects.
