Underdogs Boxing Club is not your traditional boxing club. It is Niagara's first women-led boxing club, but it isn't just for women. We welcome all individuals, regardless of age, sex, gender identity, ability, religion, class, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation to learn the fundamentals of boxing with proper technique.
If you ever wanted to learn how to box, but don't want to step into a traditional boxing club, then Underdogs is the club for you.
At Underdogs, we will teach you how to box with proper technique, helping you realize our own physical, emotional, and mental strength, without ever getting hit. Our membership-driven classes will help to fund the costs of the various social programs we will be offering.
Underdogs Boxing Club is a non-profit organization that will work towards offering a range of recreational boxing-focused programs that cater to individuals who do not routinely have access to opportunities for social and recreational physical activity.
We will begin by using the Shape Your Life program model, which uses evidence-based trauma-informed care and practice techniques to help individuals who have experienced violence reconnect their minds and bodies, improving overall health and wellbeing.
As a non-profit, with your help, we can better equip the club and ensure that preliminary operational costs are paid for as we build the club's membership and obtain funding for the social programs.
It is our hope that we can build a club that feels like an integral part of the community and that everyone not only feels they can walk through our doors but also feels like they really belong to the Underdogs community, regardless of what else might be going on in their life.

* focus mitts (hand pads)
* skipping ropes
* medicine balls
* other miscellaneous fitness equipment
* rent
* hydro
* insurance
* boxing gloves for community use by members of club
* hand wraps for participants in social programs
* snacks for participants in social programs
* transportation for participants in social programs
* childcare for participants in social programs
Currently, there are no staff expenses, as the coaches volunteer their time.
Note: If you would like to contribute to the fundraising for Underdogs, but aren't able to use the membership, you can absolutely gift it to a friend or family member.
You may also choose to gift your membership to an individual who would benefit from our social programs. So, a woman-identified individual who has experienced trauma, someone experiencing poverty, or a veteran.
Donations of less than $25 will go into a fund to pay for memberships for people experiencing poverty.
