As many of you may know, Venezuelan humanitarian crisis is tough and far from being solved, a big percentage of medical treatments and surgery procedures are not being done because of the lack of funds.
That's why I started to collect funds on my own and you could help me.
I am Carlos Romero I'm 27 years old, a Venezuelan engineer and a renal pacient.
I've been living with this disease since I was diagnosed at 14 years old. With the help of the doctors and a strict control of what I could eat I got to live through without any problems for 13 years more.
On January 2017, my kidneys started to fail and things got complicated so I had to take the hemodialysis treatment which is 3 times a week and 4 hours a day.
Even though I've been feeling better with hemodialysis there's still a greater way out and it could make more independent and that is a KIDNEY TRANSPLANT. In Venezuela there are no hospitals that could do this because as I mentioned before, there's a lack of funds.
The only way to do it is in a private medical center which is of course paid and the summary of money is something I can't afford.
The possible donor is my mother. This surgery means for me more independence, better life quality and living safe. My mom, my family and I ask for your donation either if it's small or big every single bill counts for me and I'm THANKFUL in advance because you're reading this.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, la crisis humanitaria venezolana es difícil y lejos de resolverse, un gran porcentaje de tratamientos médicos y procedimientos quirúrgicos no se realizan debido a la falta de fondos.
Es por eso que comencé a recolectar fondos por mi cuenta y usted podría ayudarme.
Soy Carlos Romero. Tengo 27 años, un ingeniero venezolano y un paciente renal.
He estado viviendo con esta enfermedad desde que me diagnosticaron a los 14 años. Con la ayuda de los médicos y un control estricto de lo que podía comer, tuve que vivir sin problemas durante 13 años más.
En enero de 2017, mis riñones empezaron a fallar y las cosas se complicaron, así que tuve que tomar el tratamiento de hemodiálisis, que es 3 veces a la semana y 4 horas al día.
A pesar de que me he sentido mejor con la hemodiálisis, todavía hay una mejor salida y podría ser más independiente y eso es un TRANSPLANTE DE RIÑÓN. En Venezuela no hay hospitales que puedan hacer esto porque, como mencioné antes, hay una falta de fondos.
La única forma de hacerlo es en un centro médico privado que, por supuesto, está pagado y el resumen de dinero es algo que no puedo pagar.
El posible donante es mi madre. Esta cirugía significa para mí más independencia, mejor calidad de vida y una vida segura. Mi mamá, mi familia y yo pedimos tu donación, ya sea pequeña o grande, cada aporte cuenta para mí y te doy las GRACIAS por adelantado porque estás leyendo esto.
