I did not set out to make a fashion line. I set out to make a difference in the yoga apparel industry. This is my small attempt to practice what you preach for my love of the wild and yoga. I created something eco and ethical to remain small and authentic. I just want to make things I can handstand...er I mean, stand behind.
My brand, UM...Stuff has been in business for one year and the demand for product is high. Consumers have a voice and a choice and they are choosing to support small, eco and ethical businesses. Making products in this way is an expensive process but it is my goal to make no sacrifces and take zero shortcuts to bring you a product that was created consciously from fiber to customer.
I currently manufacture six of my own patterns (basic legging, fleece lined legging, crop top, shorts, summer comfy pant and fall comfy pant) and my goal is to be as sustainable, environmental and ethical as possible with no compromise to quality, function and product lifespan.
*Here are some of the new and/or improved items we are fundraising to manufacture. Photos of the comfy pants will be added soon. Colors for crops, basic legging and shorts: turquoise, royal blue, kelly green and black. Colors for fleece lined leggings: black and white. Color for summer comfy pant: dirty rose. Color for fall comfy pant: plum.

This year I would like to bring more eco and ethical products to the table and put just as much effort in spreading awareness about what choices we can make as humans to try and help our planet in its time of need. I have begun a passion project page on instagram: @peoplehelpingplanet thats purpose is not to promote the products of my brand but the bigger picture behind it. You can expect to see a lot more about this in the future via blog and podcast as well.
Small companies cannot usually compete with the larger corporations that can massively produce and make a huge profit by cutting costs and sacrficing sustainability, environmental impacts and ethics in the workplace. I want to do things right. I want to provide a product you can feel amazing about from start to finish. I want to inspire others to do the same and support the growth of companies that care. Your choice matters. Your voice matters. Are you with me?!
The purpose of this campaign is to be able to manufacture more products with the same high standards and help this eco and ethical line exist, persist and stand tall amongst the monster corporations.
