I’ve started this fundraiser on my own, let me explain what’s going on. I have a fatal disease, secondary Addison’s disease in which I’ve been struggling with. That aside This past week I was having a hard time breathing without pain, my sister rushed me to the ER thinking the pneumonia had worsened only to find out I had multiple blood clots in both lungs. Bilateral clots, I was immediately started on emergency intervenes treatment. They admitted me where I stayed for about a week.
Let me explain, I have tried to get insurance through the state I’m in, Florida but was denied multiple times. I tried to go through The marketplace, and was denied stating i don’t make enough, I should be eligible through the state of Florida then at the bottom of my my denial says however at this time Florida is declining to offer me anything but here is a certificate of proof for tax time time so you don’t get penalized. I’m in the process of disability and Medicaid. I’m trying. After every closed door to try again and again, I was just released from the hospital and I need to see a pulmonologist, an hematologist-oncologist, a specialized endocrinologist, and my primary. Since I don’t have insurance I’m considered self pay. When I call to make these follow up appointments as I was guided to do they ask for my insurance. Then the door closes, Nobody will see me without paying upfront. I need these appointments so I can get well, I mean truly heal. I can’t afford to fall through the cracks, my life depends on it. The recovery process from these blood clots are 6-9 months. I’m already having a hard time with normal living expenses and bills. I don’t have the money to pay for these. These funds will be used to pay for these doctors appointments so These blood clots can be monitored , they require special testing and special doctors.
