ULB MUN GOES TO NEW-YORK!

For eight consecutive years, the delegation from ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) has had the chance to participate in the National Model United Nations (NMUN) conference. This year, our delegation will attend a conference in New York from the 19th of March to the 23rd of March 2017, with a closing ceremony at the General Assembly Hall of the UN Headquarters.
We believe that this initiative demonstrates the dynamism, the seriousness and motivation of young students from the ULB, contributing strongly to a positive image of our university and the European continent at large to the United Nations and to the other participating universities (over 300 universities counting around 5000 delegates).
In the past our delegation has been honoured with the highest diplomatic prizes such as "Outstanding Delegation", “Outstanding Delegate”, and "Outstanding Position Paper". Winning such prizes is rare for a university who's been participating in the MUN for only a few years.
With a group of 24 students (of over 11 European nationalities) and two faculty advisors, any kind of support is essential for the maintenance of this enriching project. However, the estimated budget is of 40,102 euros.
This experience will allow us to enrich our personal, academic and professional paths. We hope that you would sponsor our project and our belief that we can become the next generation of diplomats that have innovating ideas for the peace keeping and sustainable future of our global society in Europe and beyond.
