The guy with the biggest smile (literally - LOL) who would always make you smile.
As many of you have heard, Jay suddenly lost his life this past Monday, September 10, due kidney failure and complications. At this time the cause is still unknown.
My sister Cat and niece Lea lost a loving husband and father. Many of you have lost one of the most dedicated, fun-loving, most adventurous dare-devil friend that you will ever know. For me and my siblings, he was our brother of about 33 years.
It saddens me to say that as considerate and giving as Jay was, he unfortunately did not prepare for his own passing and has left Cat and Lea without a life insurance policy and also did not have medical coverage so Cat is having to bear all of his medical expenses, the funeral expenses and ongoing mortgage and living expenses on her own at this time.
Our family is helping as much as possible, but we would appreciate your generosity towards Cat and Lea.
I know many of you remember the "Hey, remember when...." stories that Jay would have, the funny quick witted comments he had, the same goofy stories he'd say over and over again yet you'd still laugh every time. Please keep those memories of him and try to smile as big as Jay would smile as you remember those times.
I, Carmen (Jay always called me by my middle name), will remember him as my generous "bro" who also loved and treated my daughter Breanna as if she were his daughter.
RIP Jaybird. You will be missed.
