Get Ros Lemoh to London Art show
Hi,
I am setting this fundraising campaign up on behalf of Rosalind Lemoh, she is an Australian Sierra- Leonean sculptor that has been offered the opportunity to exhibit and speak at the Art Rooms exhibition in London, see more at the url: http://www.art-rooms.org/ . We cannot raise the airfare and shipping for her work in the short time available as the show is in late January 2016.
We are attempting to crowdfund this because:
a) Funding for local arts organisations in Australia has been drastically cut in recent years and what is available does not favour the contemporary art scene; and
b) Funding applications are a slow moving beast so wouldn't be able to get organised in the time available.
As an artist in Australia, it is too easy to not bother to try to follow up an opportunity to be in an overseas show due to the costs involved, expecially when you need to ship sculpture works, so any help she receives to help her get there will be greatly appreciated and she would be truly thankful.
