Guys, we need help. Our old mate Gary Dowley is in a bad way. An incident whilst on his motorcycle in Thailand has left him with a broken leg, punctured lung, facial fractures, broken neck but the most serious of all is bleeding on the brain. Gary was admitted to the Memorial Hospital here in Thailand and is currently in bed 7 in the ICU on life support. Gary was covered by insurance which has agreed to contribute a very small amount to his medical bills (80,000 THB = $3200 AUD). His bill so far came to $6500 AUD for 3 days and was paid for today before any further medical attention would be given.
Gary has a very long road ahead of him. Now the 1st bill has been paid the hospital has agreed to move him to a better hospital but will unfortunately be more expensive and with no insurance we are concerned about how we are going to get him the attention he needs. Gary will undergo more scans tomorrow and be relocated for surgery to stop bleeding on the brain. The cost of ICU is about $2000 AUD/day
Can I please ask that you dig deep and assist our friend in a time of need. Any amount will be of great assistance. The sooner we can get him home the better.
