Get Chrissi to her Chemo Treatments

Just before Christmas, my mother (Chrissi) was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer.

As you can image, this was quite a shock to the family. It's all happened pretty quickly, and even in the last few weeks her health has been adversely affected. But she's been to the specialists, and they all agree: they think it's a very treatable cancer.

So she's going with the reccomendations, and is about to start 5 weeks of chemo and radiation, possiblyfollowed by surgery.

That means five weeks of five days a week of chemo and radiation. The cost of this is going to make things tough, but creative budgeting is a wonderful thing.

Unfortunately, yesterday (15/1/2017) my sister had a car accident. She, thankfully, is pretty much fine.

The car is not. The car is not drivable. And we live out of town. Chrissi needs to get to town every day for the chemo and radiation treatment.

We have third party only insurance, and we need to replace the car.  So I'm asking for $7500. This is to tow the wrecked car, and to replace the it. We're not looking to upgrade, just to get something solid and reliable, in the short and medium term,  mum can get her treatment.

It's pretty scary not being mobile. We've been really fortunate, and wonderful friends and family have been able to lend us a car, but we need to replace it.
