Water, Food, Blankets for Orphans

Kiran Raju Gollapalli is a Christian minister and friend of mine in Southern India. With the help of donors, he provides food and blankets for orphans and widows and drills water wells to provide badly needed fresh water for villages.
Kiran is associated with the churches of Christ and spreads the good news about Jesus while being Jesus' hands — meeting the daily physical needs of the people as well as their spiritual ones.
Ministers from Central Church of Christ in Meridianville, Alabama have visited Kiran and his work in person on several occasions and have personally attested to its effectiveness. Depending on the depth of the water, it takes from $800 to $1,700 US to drill a well — much less than a similar project in the United States. This includes everything — the drilling itself, the well casing, and the pump for people to use. It is a tremendous improvement over carrying muddy water from a creek or river!
Kiran and his father have been doing this work for years and are very experienced. At times they receive aid from U.S. churches and organizations, but there is an ongoing need. Your donation would be extrememly helpful and deeply appreciated.
