UCR Guardian Scholars for Foster Youth

Mammoth Coffee Roasting Co. has partnered with the UC Riverside Guardian Scholars for Foster Youth program to help raise money for this amazing organization. When foster kids turn 18, they must navigate adulthood on their own. If and when they make it to college, it's up to them to make it work...financially and emotionally.
This is where you can help!
The UCR Guardian Scholars Program is a network of outstanding staff, faculty, and generous donors like yourself, who not only provide financial support for books, meals, and housing, but more importantly they provide mentoring, tutoring, and various cultural and social community building activities to ensure that foster youth know they are not alone, feel that they belong in college, and have access to the material, educational, and emotional resources they need to thrive.
Research has shown community-building and educational activities are crucial for success at the college level and this program is truly dedicated to helping these students reach their full potential. Whether it's a group picnic, a retreat in the mountains, or a Thanksgiving dinner, everyone needs someone they can connect with and count on!
Students who participate in the UCR Guardian Scholars Program have overcome many life challenges and beaten incredible odds to make it to college, but they need your support to succeed in college and achieve their dreams. Did you know that only 3.6% of emancipated foster youth earn a college degree by the age of 26? Compare that with the nearly 40% of non-fostered youth who earn a degree and you can see just how incredible the Guardian Scholars are! These students are determined and motivated to improve their lives through the power education so that they can give back to make our community a better place for us all.
As a Guardian Scholars fundraising partner (and UCR Alumni), we are equally dedicated to foster youth and are working tirelessly to enhance these students’ lives. The money you donate will go directly to the UCR Guardian Scholars Program for Foster Youth and will fund projects and activities to enhance these students’ lives. Won't you join us and help support these amazing scholars!
Any and all donations are welcome! As a special thank you for donations at the $100 - $999 level, Mammoth Coffee Roasting Co. will send you a free 12 oz. bag of our Brazilian small batch roasted whole bean coffee. At the $1000+ level, please accept a 5 pound bag of Coffee as our thanks! (Please include your mailing information if you would like your gift!)
