UCF Hyperloop Prototype Build

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view our page!  We are seniors studying mechanical engineering at the University of Central Florida looking to raise money to support our senior design project. We are partcipating in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Design Competition.  The purpose of this competition is to drive innovation in designing a new high speed transportation system.  Imagine making the journey from San Fransisco to LA in 30 min and traveling almost the speed of sound.  With your help we aim to be a part of making that dream a reality.

Due to the amount of money required to design an entire pod and the small size of our team the four of us will be focusing on designing an emergency braking system for the pods.  This system is vital to the operation the Hyperloop, ensuring that the passengers and the general public is safe. We need to produce a viable and testable prototype in order to participate and also to GRADUATE! Additionally, we have been selected to participate in a design weekend being hosted by Texas A&M which also means that SpaceX has chosen us to compete!

Any money we raise will go to helping us build our prototype and to fund our travel to Texas A&M. Also, any additional money we raise will go to the supporting the second UCF Hyperloop team, who also have been invited to Texas A&M, and to fund future senior design projects at UCF.
