No Shave November!

Recently, several of my students challenged me to No Shave November.

This may sound ridiculous, but I've only grown my hair out twice in the past twenty years and once was for a previous fundraiser. 

It was then that another student spoke up about her friend Giana from Toll Gate who needs substantial financial assistance for medical procedures to help combat a life-threatening illness. The students unanimously agreed to donate all proceeds to Giana and her family. 

I will continue to grow out my hair and beard for each day that money is raised. The goal is to raise an equivalent amount to the corresponding day (This adds up to approximately $450). 

Since all good fundraisers have stakes, a co-worker then suggested if we raise $600, I should dye my hair white. To this, my students countered with a suggestion that at $700, I go purple and wear it for a week into December.
