Healing Hearts in Hope Veterans Retreat Center,(HHHVRC), is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization founded by Teresa "Flying Eagle" Baird. Teresa's husband, William L. Baird, was a Vietnam Veteran who later took his own life as a result of delayed stress, (PTSD). Teresa has set aside 17 acres for the benefit of American Veterans who are in need of hope and healing. This beautiful rain forest, nestled at the base of Mt. Pilchuck, near Granite Falls, Washington, provides inspiration and offers opportunity to Veterans to heal and find internal peace.
"Our Mission Statement",
We work together to reach out to Veterans and their families who are dealing with the issues associated with military deployment, war zone stress and reintegration. We offer a quiet, peaceful place for Veterans and their families to go to relax and get back to nature. We are here to support all Veterans of all wars and offer them a safe place to camp, fish, hike and enjoy nature. Healing Hearts in Hope Veteran’s Retreat Center is a place for Veterans to find and talk to other Veterans. A place to discover that you are not alone and there are people that truly care.  Funds are needed to build a small Yurt and repair the roof of our talking circle shelter. This will provide our guests a place to gather, connect and share experiences, out of the weather.  Funds are also needed for maintenance to camping areas, parking lot (grade gravel), walking paths, and river access for fishing (clear overgrowth of blackberries and fallen trees), and ensure paths/trails are ADA compliant for mobility inpaired and wheelchair accessability.  Repair/ clean picnic tables, and firepit benches.
Event Insurance, Gas/ Diesel fuel/ bar oil (for mowers/ tractor/ chainsaws),  Kitchen and Dining supplies for 150 people.  Advertising:  Business Cards and Flyers.  Renew Tax Exempt Application Fees.
HHHVRC appreciates your support and the support of military families.

Healing Hearts in Hope Veteran's Retreat Center is here for all veterans, active duty military personnel and their families. Our purpose is to try to help them find some peace and help them deal with the effects of PTSD and other wartime disabilities.
We function solely on donations. 100% of all donations goes to the retreat to help our veterans.
Our members are veterans and family members of veterans. Every one of them is a volunteer here at HHHVRC.
There is absolutely no charge to any vet or their family to use our facility.
