UAS 2017 Polar Plunge Fundraiser

The University of Alaska Southeast will be holding its annual Polar Plunge at the Auke Bay Harbor in Juneau, AK, on Saturday, January 21 at 12PM (noon)! This event is open to UAS students, staff, faculty, and community members.
For several years, we have used this event to also raise awareness and donations for local charities and non-profits. This year, we have identified the UAS Care Team as the recipient of our awareness and fundraising efforts!

The UAS Care Team mission is to "support student success and campus safety by assessing, evaluating, and responding to reports of student behavior that causes concern for their personal well-being or the well-being of others". As part of this mission, the Care Team may identify student needs in which one-time funding can be impactful. By identifying the UAS Care Team as the recipient of this year's fundraising efforts, we hope to create more opportunity for students in need.
Any student, staff, or faculty member can take the plunge on Saturday, January 21, regardless of whether or not they fundraise. Having said that, any jumpers that make a donation of any dollar amount will receive a custom picture frame and photo to commemorate their partipation.
