About the ' Restoring Our Youth ' Event
When: Sunday, February 12, 2017,
Where: Chabot Space & Science Center of Oakland, CA
Event Details: 'Restoring Our Youth' is an event that will offer the SF Bay community the rare opportunity to positively change communities in need. Hundreds of at risk youth and the general public will enjoy a meal & refreshments, prizes, swag bag, forum discussion, access to local vendors, the viewing of the film 'Elementary Genocide' with its director Rahiem Shabazz!
This dynamic fundraising event serves two crucial goals:
1: To expose, educate, and embrace inner-city youth at-risk due to social, economic, and educational factors to opportunities to improve their lives and circumstances.
2. To create a trust fund that will serve as a scholarship for young black men who wish to pursue career endeavors in the field of education.
Where will your money go?
Funds from this event will be disbursed into tow areas:
1. Sponsorship. Roughly, 60 percent of donations will sponsors a young person to attend this event . At risk youth who cannot afford to attend this amazing event. Youth that are sponsored have been chosen by reupatable community organizations.
2. Education. Additional, funds donated will be set aside into a charitable trust for at-risk youth of Oakland to pursue higher educational pursuits.
