Much needed car repairs.

My name is Ken and unfortunately (probably due to all those potholes/Michigan's bad roads) my 1999 Buick Park Avenue that I bought just last year is... now too dangerous to drive as it is and I'm trying to gather enough money to get it fixed.  I first noticed that it started to require turning the steering wheel counterclockwise to about 11 o clock to drive straight.  Then it started to shake whenever I'd be going straight or left, but never right.  Thirdly, braking started to get a bit more difficult (and squeaky).  Finally, my two front tires started to show a lot more wear than they really should've been.  After therapy on Tues last week (6-5-2018), I noticed that they were even further worn and it felt even less... secure.  I checked them when I got back home and realized that not only were they further worn, the inside of the driver side tire were worn down to the wire.  When a mechanic came to swap out my donut to the driver side tire I realized that not only was my donut tire also down to the wire in a spot, but also there's apparently a major issue with the tire mounting system that could end up making it drop down.  Damaging even more and leaving me with no steering. (according to the person who was gonna swap my tires)  I do believe they were the control arms though I'm not 100% sure, but I understood what the guy was saying and showing me at the time (plus his estimates on what it'd cost to get fixed [which is about $400, add in tires and yeah]).

I don't currently have a job and in order for me to even get one, my car being up and running is a necessity.  Trying to go through Michigan Rehabilitation Services so that I can get a job that'll work with me (on my depression, anxiety, and Cerebral Palsy), which.... requires a working car.  So currently, I'm between a rock and a hard place.  Asking for this kind of help is definitely difficult for me but I've got no other choice.
