United States Para Jiu Jitsu team

My friends, as you know we have competed in World Para Jiu Jitsu with the an international tournament in Abu Dhabi this year.  During this invitation only tournament, being the single American selected to represent the United States, I was able to bring home Gold in the B1, 85kg category.  I submitted my opponent in 23 seconds by armbar, the next fastest submission in the para catagories taking over 4 mintues!  The successful campaign to bring home Gold in this years tournament, as well as my 21 years of dedication to para martial arts, to include being the first leg amputee to compete in kickboxing as well as Mixed Martial Arts,  ultimatly winning the 170lb Capital City Cage Championships against able bodied opponents has resulted in my being asked to form a United States Para Jiu Jitsu team.   At the tournament, I was asked by His Holiness Shiek Mohammed and the head of the UAEJJF para division, Rodrigo Valiera to organize the team, as well as compete in para tournaments throughout the world to support our cause.  To do this I am going to need your help.

In oder for us to be successful, I am working closely with Elcirley Sliva in Sao Paulo, Brazil as well as other para teams throughout the world, and we have now begun organizing a team in the United States.  At this time we have been able to identify more than 30 para athletes here in America, who are training to compete or support the first UAEJJF Grand Slam tournament to include a para division.  We have been invited to fight in Los Angles this September and as a result of securing Gold in Abu Dhabi, I have been invited back for next years World tournament.

Personally, I am training para jiu jitsu 6 days week at Yamasaki Academy in Washinton D.C. to prepare for the upcoming tournaments season, and have the full support of Professor Yamasaki and his organization.  In addition to my own training, equipment and fees, we are actively securing  placements for local para jiu jitsu fighters.  To secure this foundation, I am asking for your help with my training and teaching fees, equipment, nutritional supplements, tournamnet fees and travel expenses.  There are 5 UAEJJF Continental Grand Slams as well as 3 Regional tournaments and I seek to represent the United States as we continue to grow para jiu jitsu through the United States as well as throughout the World.
