Universal Academy of the Arts is a local dance and theatre school which started in February 2018, Luke and the rest of the team work extremely hard with all of the children in the school to improve their abilities and create a friendly family environment. The children range from 3-17 years of age and we welcome all abilities.
As a school we have participated in a variety of events this year such as Dance Challenge UK West Midlands in July where will be taking 4 of our routines to the finals in Blackpool in November.
We had a float and a slot to dance in Porthcawl carnival.
Our summer Musical Theatre Showcase “In The Spotlight” in August, and 2 weeks of summer school where the children were lucky enough to record their own song in a professional recording studio.
We will also be dancing in Prestige dance show in September, and performing onstage at Alton Towers fright weekend
And to finish the year we have our Christmas Pantomime “The Little Mermaid” in December.
We do a lot of outside class bonding activities to keep the children as busy as possible as we have formed such a close family bond we all enjoy spending time together.
We try to keep costs to a minimum and Luke provides a lot of his own time and money however to improve as a school and enable the children to have more opportunities we need certain equipment for dance classes and theatre shows such as; microphones, backdrops and scenery, safety mats and tumbling equipment so we have decided as a school to climb Pen Y Fan on Sunday 14th October and raise money for things needed at the school.
Any donations will be greatfully received, we will also have sponsor forms for people that would prefer to donate that way.
