On Saturday March 5, 2016 our dad, Pheoris West, suffered a stroke at his Medulla oblongata. He is a father of four children and husband to michele West. Pheoris West is an African-American artist. He has been an associate professor at the Ohio State University College of the Arts since 1976.
He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and earned a Masters of Fine Arts from Yale University. His areas of expertise are painting and drawing, computer graphics, and design. His art has been shown in various art displays since 1970
He currently cannot move and is a patient at riverside in the ICU. There have been numerous tests and the medical bills are starting to mount.
Our dad's art and teaching touched many lives over the years inspiring and influencing those to be better.
We are starting this fund to help out our mother and father with the mounting medical bills. You'd be surprised how fast it adds up over a weekend. Our mother is sick as well and she needs as much help as possible with this. We figured that if all the people that our father touched could help with just a little bit we would be able to have at least a lighter load on something.
