Nanette

Hello all. Many of you know that my mom Nanette, has been struggling physically since having her gall bladder out last fall. Not long after the surgery she started not being able to digest food which led to a range of problems.The Dr’s described it as Pyloric Stenosis which is a narrowing of the opening that leads out of the stomach. This diagnosis was puzzling because this is usually found only in infants.

She has been to numerous Dr’s, one of whom went in and stretched out the opening 3 different times but it always closed back up. On Monday, August 6th she went in for surgery for them to do a procedure to correct the problem but when the Dr. got in there he noticed something strange with her organs and decided they shouldn’t go through with the surgery. He took biopsies from multiple locations and sent them to the lab and she had another CT scan done.

Today we had the appointment with the surgeon to see what the diagnosis was. Unfortunately it is cancer. Lobular Carcinoma to be exact. This is very odd in that it is Breast Cancer in her abdomen. Apparently this happens with this type of cancer. Obviously Nanette is upset and we are a little numb.

Right now we are waiting on referrals for three different Dr.’s and we will start the process of finding out where we stand and what the treatment options are.

Nanette is very loved by all who know her. How she got stuck with me I’ll never know! So we wanted to share with our friends and family so that you might believe with us in prayer for total healing and that the Lord will direct every step of this process.
