Ed Warren Memorial Scholarship Fund

$5,765 of $7,500 goal

Raised by 39 people in 40 months

Ed Warren passed away from a sudden heart attack this week (May 11th) at 58 years old. He has a storied life in the marching arts activity. He served as either an adjudicator, member, desgner, or teacher in the activity for 40+ years. He impacted the members he taught, the staff he helped, and the audience he performed for in countless ways. His surviving family want to carry on his legacy by continuing to help members financially.

This fund is going to be created to give scholarships to members in the marching arts who could not otherwise afford to be a part of the activity that has shaped his and his family's life in such a great and positive way. The donations to this fund will be used to either set up a personal fund in Ed's name or donate money to the national and state circuits he worked for so they may create scholarships in his name.

I just want to say that I have not been in contact with Ed since high school... I was just reminiscing about Ed and what a loyal friend he was when I really didn't deserve one and everyone else had bailed. Unfortunately, it took this long for me to look him up. Well bravo Ed Warren. You always were a class act. Well done brother.

The things Ed taught me ... his dedication to family, pursuit of excellence, passion for teaching & promoting Music Education ... and his "unique" sense of humor lives on in the lives he touched - it lives on in all of us who loved him.

I wanted to thank the marching roundtable not only for the donation but also for allowing my father to pass on some of his knowledge before passing and for putting out a product that he believed in. Thank you.
