Wayne's Lymes Disease Treatment

Donation protected

Wayne Parker was a avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and 27 year veteran Firefighter.  He loved being outdoors,  his job and his firefighting brothers.  In 2005 Wayne was diagnosed with Neurological Lymes Disease.  After suffering with symptoms for over 6 months and going to over 10 doctors, he was finally diagnosed and began treatment.  After 4 years of treatment, he was at about 75 percent.  He was enjoying life, his grandchildren, family and firefighting which was his passion.  Then the unthinkable happened.  In September, 2013, he had just come in from the woods.  He found a tick on the back of his neck.  He immediately went to his doctor which started him on anti-biotics.   As the days and weeks progressed, his Lymes Disease symptons became worse and worse.  Our local Infectious Disease doctor could not treat him because  the disease had progressed beyond his area of expertise and resources .  Wayne continued to get worse and worse.  In March, 2014, Wayne was  forced to retire due to health problems.   While we continued to go to over ten different doctors, again, no help.  One of Waynes doctors gave him some information regarding the Jemsek Lymes Disease Clinic in Washington DC.   We made a trip up to the clinc and spent over 4 hours with the doctor.  She diagnosed him with neurologic cronic lymes disease with two co-infections.   At this point of his illness, Wayne is suffering from severe headaces, joint and muscle pain, trouble walking and getting up from a chair or bed.  His fatigue is unbearable.  The Jemsek Clinic doctor that we saw said that Wayne was too ill to start treatment.  She wanted him to take 30 - 40 days  and prescribed  different medications to help with his symptons,  and also  specific variety of supplements that will help boost his immune system.  I feel very confident with this Clinic.  The problem is that our Health Insurance will not cover any of the cost.  This is a independent Clinic that treats to each patients individual needs and  what's best for the patient.   The treatment is 9 to 12 months of IV's and oral anti-biotics.  We must travel to Washington DC every 4 to 6 weeks for the new anti-biotic to be given to him.  As the anti-biotics do their job, he will become very ill during the time of treatment.  This is Wayne's last chance to ever become better.  He is at stage 3 Lymes Disease, .    I ask that you please help us get Wayne well so he can start enjoying life.  There is nothing worse than watching your husband struggle to get out of the chair or get into a car.  It is horrible.  please help.  Thank you.
