Paging Paige

Paige Christine Eppler was born on October 29, 2016 to parents Nancy and Tim. Shortly after birth, a newborn hearing test was administered, which she failed. Her parents then brought her to Children's Hospital, where it was determined that she is profoundly deaf in both ears, and with hearing loss this severe, she would not benefit from hearing aids. In order for Paige's speech and language to develop, cochlear implantation has been recommended. She will have bilateral cochlear implant surgery shortly after her first birhtday. The implants will be activated after she has recovered from surgery, and Paige will be able to "hear" for the first time!
