Ari here. Thanks for taking the time to read about my huge summer challenge and lifelong goals. As many of you know that know me well, I'm a learning fanatic who hopes to be the next Stephen Hawking or Albert Einstein. To that end, I have been working hard to position myself to attend a college that is a leading institution in physics and mathematics.
In addition to having more than a 4.0 GPA , taking 6 AP classes in my junior year, registering for 8 more AP classes in my senior year and scoring high on both SAT and ACT exams, I am hoping to attend Emory University's Pre-College Six-Week Credit Summer Program in Astronomy. This is where I have a need that I am challenged to meet. Thinking it would only cost roughly $500, I naively submitted an application without reading all the details. By the time I paid $70 for the application and was accepted, I realized the program was actually more than $4000! Understanding that my mother would not be able to pay for the entire amount by the payment deadline, I felt completely defeated. I confided in a friend who told me about gofundme.com. At this point, it is likely that gofundme.com is my only option to fund the financial gap that I have to pay to Emory. I hope that you will consider donating to my cause.
My goal is to apply to and attend Stanford University through Questbridge, attain my PhD, and become a professor at a university. I appreciate any amount you can give, and I promise to use your generous donation to further my education through the Emory Pre-College Program. This program will undoubtedly help to make me a more appealing candidate for Stanford. I cherish knowledge above all else, and I too plan on contributing roughly $1000 of the total cost.
Bill Gates, a genius in his own right, is able to return his good fortune to the impoverished and malnourished of society, a precedent I hope to one day follow and improve upon with a well-rounded and vast educational foundation. Thank you for considering me and my story.
