Brain Tumor

Donación protegida

Amy is a wife and a mother to 2 beautiful daughters. In 2018 she found out she has a brain tumor that has negatively affected her quality of life (and, her family's) in often debilitating ways. After being pushed around from doctor to doctor,  (finally) an expensive brain surgery and lengthy recovery have been scheduled for January 2020. This is Amy's chance to be tumor free and live her life to the fullest and healthiest. Her family is struggling with the financial burden of this necessary surgery, though and would appreciate any & all help possible.

It started in college when she started getting migraines. She was diagnosed with cluster migraines and sent to a pain management specialist. A shot of heavy strength pain medication every time the headaches became too much. After a while the migraines became daily. Never going a moment without a migraine. Neuralgia headache the doctor called it. While the headaches continued to get worse, she was seeing many doctors trying to get help with all of the other (unexplained) symptoms she started developing . A few examples;

Losing feeling in all her limbs.
Many visual disturbances.
Hearing loss in both her ears.
Aphasia
Severe insomnia
Constant nausea
Constant Vertigo
many many more.

In 2018 she woke up one morning not being able to move her eyes without being in severe pain. She went to an eye doctor (who did many tests) and they told her that her eyes were fine. They sent her to have an MRI of her skull and brain. The next day they called her into the office to “discuss the findings”. A tumor growing right in the middle of her brain. Wrapped around her Pineal Gland. Right above the spinal cord. After being referred to numerous Neurosurgeons she learn a few things. 1. It’s over twice the size a “normal” tumor of it’s type. 2. No one will do any type of testing or is willing to do the surgery to take it out. 3. There are only 3 well known surgeons in the world willing to take it out. None near her.

After traveling to TX to see one the surgeons, she was approved for surgery. January 24th 2020. The cost of the surgery and the recovery in TX much more than they can save in 6 weeks. Any help would appreciate. Prayers and shares. Anything you can do.

If anyone is interested in buying a shirt to not only help with the financial part but to be a part of her team. To raise awareness. To wear the day she is getting surgery.
